Eleanor Roosevelt: A Voice of Change Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
A Middle Grade Historical Fiction novel set in Nebraska is in the works
A powerful story of fear, friendship, and standing up for what’s right.
When a Nazi POW camp opens near her family’s Nebraska farm during World War II, twelve-year-old Margo Lindgren suddenly finds herself surrounded by fear, suspicion, and change. Her father returns from the front lines a different man, and at school she’s forced to work with the class bully on a Red Cross fundraiser. After a farm accident brings German prisoners onto their land, her family is accused of being Nazi sympathizers. Inspired by Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms and an unlikely connection, Margo begins to question what loyalty and bravery really mean. Based on real events at Camp Atlanta, this is a story of courage, conscience, and coming of age in uncertain times.

The curious case of Ann
Ann’s curious love of writing and reading began early when she was involved with summer reading programs at her local library. There was always a new library, a knowledgeable children’s librarian, and library activities waiting each time she moved. She began writing and creating early.
